A SWOT analysis is used to identify the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of a potential solution, project, or course of action.
Begin the decision-making process by determining the gap between the current state and the desired state. Once the data has been gathered, the cause of the gap analyzed, and a solution identified, use a SWOT analysis to evaluate the factors that may help or hinder the implementation of your solution.
A SWOT analysis can be completed individually or as a group, when making important decisions at work or in your personal life.
